Find the right customer
Explain Colorado's new plug-in solar framework and identify renters interested in affordable solar. Track leads in your dashboard.
Meet a customer. Check their balcony. Show what solar could save. Build a quote at your price. SolarSnap helps with the tools, checkout, equipment sourcing, and job tracking — all in one place.
Designed for a salesperson talking to a renter at their apartment, not for a large rooftop installation office.
Explain Colorado's new plug-in solar framework and identify renters interested in affordable solar. Track leads in your dashboard.
Enter the address, the balcony's direction, and whether another building blocks the view. Get an initial suitability and savings estimate.
Choose a saved kit or seller-owned inventory, include any installation cost, and set the final customer price yourself.
SolarSnap handles customer checkout. Supply your own stock or use SolarSnap sourcing. Payouts start after customer-confirmed completion.
You decide what to charge. SolarSnap's proposed pay-per-sale model uses a flat fee — illustrated at $50 for a smaller kit and $100 for a larger system. White-label company subscriptions may also be offered.
Examples are hypothetical and show gross earnings, not take-home profit. Actual fee tiers and payout terms are not final.
Build a repeatable sales process with a toolkit created for balcony and plug-in solar.
Know when a balcony may be a good fit — and when to walk away. Start with a basic direction-and-obstruction estimate, not a promise of exact production.
Show realistic previews of panels on a customer's actual balcony as visual mockups become available. Make the concept easy to understand.
Create your own reusable packages and set your own prices. Use approved catalog options or submit seller-owned equipment details.
Offer secure in-person checkout or a payment link. Bring equipment from your truck or have SolarSnap arrange shipment.
Track prospective renters, quotes, orders, job progress, and earnings. Optional individual paid or exclusive leads are planned.
Invite a sales team, brand the customer's journey, and choose company payouts or commission splits when those capabilities launch.
Seller training and electrical authorization are different things. SolarSnap will match permitted tasks to the actual system and installation conditions.
After onboarding, sellers may sell qualifying small systems, such as a 350W plug-in kit, and perform non-regulated setup where legally allowed. No license is granted by passing a quiz.
For larger systems or regulated work, bring your qualified electrical contractor or find one through SolarSnap's planned installer network.
Our planned onboarding flow starts with a short plug-in solar knowledge quiz. You can retry as many times as you need. After passing, you'll create an account and get a guided selling tutorial.
The quiz and seller login are not live on this static preview page yet.

No electrical trade qualification is generally needed merely to discuss or sell a product, but any setup or installation work must comply with applicable laws and safety requirements. The SolarSnap knowledge quiz does not create professional authorization.
You do. You choose equipment, installation services, and your markup. The proposal should disclose the full customer price and provide a savings estimate based on that actual amount.
You can use equipment you already own or have SolarSnap arrange an order from its curated supplier catalog. For the MVP, supplier ordering is planned as a manual operations process.
Under the planned model, SolarSnap processes the customer's payment and initiates seller and installer payouts after the customer independently confirms completion, subject to payment provider rules and disputes.
Yes. White-label branding, company accounts, team roles, and optional commission splitting are planned, with pricing options including per-sale fees and future subscriptions.
SolarSnap Sales is an early-stage product in development. This landing page is an overview of the planned experience and an invitation to request early access, not a functioning seller dashboard or checkout.
